The budget earmarked ₹20,730.04 crore for climate-aligned projects, accounting for 43.04% of its total capital expenditure of ₹48,164.28 crore. The allocation marked an increase from the previous financial year, when climate-linked spending stood at ₹16,321.33 crore or 37.81% of the capital budget. In the year 2024-25climate spend stood at ₹10,224.24 crore—32.18% of the ₹31,774.59 crore capital budget.
