Weird. Vtubing was popularized in the west with the rise of indie vtubers (corperate idol culture doesn't really click with western audiences very well). The ones who really got the ball rolling was VShojo, which was co-founded by lewdtuber Project Melody.
So I disagree. Lewdtubers contributed to vtubing in the west as a viable business. They didn't ruin it, they helped build it. I think you're just unhappy about why.
