Hoy, 12 de mayo, recordamos con dolor el atentado contra la iglesia de Dablo, Burkina Faso, en 2019, durante la celebración de la Santa Misa. Despite the approaching exams, I used to go to the church daily to witness the apparition. Sometimes her facial features would become very clear. Sometimes she would move to the right and left as if blessing the people… and sometimes she would bow before the cross. I sometimes saw her on the minaret, and sometimes on the dome, especially when we stood on the rooftops of houses facing the church to see her clearly. I also saw her inside the church,in the nave or on the iconostasis curtain,when we were inside. Astonishingly, she would sometimes appear both inside and outside the church at the same time. The astonishing thing was that incense spread and filled the sky of Ahmed Helmy Street, which is very long,visible as far as the eye could see. Many miracles occurred that I heard about when I went to the church. I will mention one: one day I went in the morning before my exam to the church of the apparition because it was on my way to school. During the liturgy, when I entered to pray and receive blessings, we heard ululations (celebratory cries) because a blind person regained sight that day.

The 40th anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin Mary over the domes of Saint Demiana Church – Shubra[ Not the Zaytoun apparition for those who don't know) A wondrous radiance… On March 25, 1986, about a year after the return of Pope Shenouda III from his confinement in the monastery, this was the first apparition of the Mother of Light during the time of our holy father. After that, she appeared over church domes in Assiut in 2000, and then over the domes of the church in Warraq in 2009. The apparitions at Saint Demiana Church in Ard Baba Dablo, Shubra, were extraordinary. They varied from the full visible appearance of the Mother of Light,which at one time lasted about twenty minutes,to other spiritual phenomena witnessed by tens of thousands at different times. The small church became a destination for Egyptians from all walks of life, and the apparitions were accompanied by healing miracles. I myself was an eyewitness to all these true apparitions, along with tens of thousands of other witnesses.
