♊️ Gemini: "When it came to designing Barth’s voice, I experimented with many different approaches. Barth isn’t a red flag at all, he’s actually very much a green flag. He has a warm and caring nature, so I tried to give him a lower, deeper tone while still conveying that warmth. I worked on changing my voice to fit the character as much as possible. The hardest part was when I had to sing, because I needed to sing as Barth, not as myself." The way Gemini understands every single detail about Barth 😭 Dangggg I love Barth so muchhh 😭😭😭😭 #TicketToHeavenEP3 #Gemini_NT #เจมีไนน์

Are We Designing Against Our Climate? For centuries, architecture in Lagos and across tropical Africa evolved as a response to climate. -Deep verandas. -Shaded courtyards. -High ceilings. -Cross-ventilation. -Thick walls. Buildings were designed to work with heat, humidity, rainfall, and prevailing winds. Today, many developments seem designed to fight the climate instead. -Glass-heavy facades. -Sealed apartments. -Tiny windows. -Minimal shading. -Dependence on generators and air-conditioning. The result? Buildings that consume more energy, cost more to operate, and often provide less thermal comfort. A city where temperatures regularly exceed 30°C should not be copying designs from temperate climates without adaptation. The irony is that many of the solutions are not new and these solutions help: -Courtyards can improve airflow. -Shading devices reduce solar gain. -Building orientation can lower cooling loads. -Natural ventilation can reduce dependence on mechanical systems. Climate-responsive architecture is not nostalgia but good economics. As energy costs rise and power supply remains uncertain, the buildings that thrive will be those designed for Lagos and not imported images from somewhere else. The question is simple: Are we designing buildings for our climate, or against it? #Architecture #Lagos #BuiltEnvironment #SustainableDesign #ClimateResponsiveArchitecture #UrbanDevelopment #Construction #Nigeria #RealEstate #Design @vangeorgh @Arcfunmi @ChiefArchitect_ @arc @arcpresentation @GRVlagos @CRawkeen @Arc_Adeku

I'm sorry for so many questions, but I'm struggling with designing intricate details like those. Could u tell me which software u use, how u approach the design process, and how long it typically takes you to complete such work? Are you involved in temple design as an architect?

Classic case of ‘do as I say, not as I do’ in the best possible way. Gordon Gill designing a 1km tower while preaching adaptive reuse is peak architect energy: push the absolute limit once, then tell everyone the future is renovation. Smart move though — retrofitting existing stock at scale is where the real carbon wins are. Willis Tower’s upgrades are impressive. Height records are fun for the ego, but breathing new life into what we already built is how cities actually level up.

You never fully learn a tool until you use it badly first. Slow, careful engagement keeps every feature feeling foreign. Fast, messy experimentation builds pattern recognition. You discover what breaks, what works, what needs your judgment. I learned Figma by designing terrible mockups for two weeks straight. Now I know which shortcuts save time and which animations crash the app. The speed of your mistakes matters more than waiting for perfect conditions.

Meet Danielle Barta, Global Jewish Education Content Creator at the National Library of Israel and one of our dynamic @zionisted (ZEI) Educators. "My work in Jewish education spans over 17 years, designing creative, experiential programs that help people of all ages build and deepen their connection to Am Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael, and Medinat Yisrael. I believe cultural advocacy is the most powerful way to showcase Israel's contributions to the world and highlight everything it still has to offer. During my spare time, you'll most likely find me dreaming up the next program that gets people genuinely excited about being Jewish and loving this land. What excites me most about being part of ZEI is the opportunity to think deeply about Israel education alongside a diverse and passionate community of educators." Danielle made Aliyah from Teaneck, NJ in 2011 and holds a BA in International Relations from Rutgers University and an MA in Education from The @HebrewU of Jerusalem. Danielle will be teaching ZEI classes on our campus. We're thrilled to welcome Danielle's creativity and expertise into our growing ZEI community.
