Been seeing a wave of posts lately .. people from Europe and Asia coming over for the World Cup, seeing America for the first time, and just floored by it.
It’s the best gut check I’ve had in a while.
Stuff we don’t even think twice about. A fully cooked rotisserie chicken at Costco for $4.99. Bottomless chips and salsa before you’ve ordered a thing. Cities so big and beautiful they don’t look real. The fact that the average person here wakes up believing they can build something, and most of the time nobody tells them they can’t.
We get numb to it. Scroll long enough and you’d swear the whole place is falling apart.
Don’t let the feeds fool you.
We didn’t earn being born here. It’s a gift. And I think we forget Who it came from.
We’re blessed beyond belief, and sometimes we just need a healthy kick in the pants to be reminded of it.
Thank God for this country.
Thank God for the chance to chase something bigger than yourself.
Thank God for the daughters and sons we get to raise here.
God bless the New York Knicks .. champions, and they brought it home for New York. 🏀
God bless America. 🇺🇸
