@USouthFlorida, for being named to the
@FloridaC100 board of directors.
A Florida Council of 100 member since 2003 and former Chair of FC100, Rhea has championed higher education, economic development, and thoughtful public policy that strengthens Florida’s long-term competitiveness throughout her professional career and her past service with The Florida Council of 100.
As a founding member of the USF Board of Trustees, Law spent five years as vice chair and four years as the board’s first and only female chair. While board chair, she helped establish an aspirational goal in USF’s strategic plan for the university to pursue eligibility for membership in the
@AAUniversities. Under Law’s presidency, USF realized this goal with its was invited to join the association in 2023.
Rhea has served on the board of directors for
@TampaElectric (TECO), one of Florida’s largest investor-owned electric utilities, and
@TECOPeoplesGas, Florida’s largest natural gas distribution utility. Under her leadership, USF launched the TECO Clean Energy Research Center in April 2024 within its
@EngineeringUSF, supported by a $5 million gift from TECO, to advance sustainable energy solutions and solar energy applications and train the next generation of environmental engineers. She has also served on the board of directors for the
@TampaEDC, the
@TB_Chamber, and the Council of Governors for the Tampa Bay Partnership and on the board of directors and national board of advisors for the
@MoffittNews.
