If you’re trying to get more juice out your gpu to expedition 33 on linux with nvidia card set this as launch options just changed fps cap to your prefare fps cap thank me later
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NGX_UPDATER=1 DXVK_NVAPI_DRS_NGX_DLSS_SR_OVERRIDE_RENDER_PRESET_SELECTION=render_preset_latest DXVK_FRAME_RATE=144 gamemoderun MANGOHUD=1 %command%
When I launch Expedition 33 on Arch, I run it with a custom string of commands that basically unlocks the full power of my NVIDIA card under Proton. PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 and PROTON_ENABLE_NGX_UPDATER=1 tell Proton to enable NVIDIA’s special features like DLSS and Reflex so the game can use the same optimizations you’d get on Windows. The DXVK_NVAPI…render_preset_latest part forces the game to always use the newest and best DLSS preset instead of being stuck on an older one, while DXVK_FRAME_RATE=144 locks the game to my monitor’s refresh rate for smoother frame pacing. On top of that, gamemoderun makes Linux temporarily boost system performance so all resources go to the game, and MANGOHUD=1 gives me an on-screen overlay to track FPS, frame times, temps, and GPU/CPU usage in real time. Put together, this launch option string is basically me squeezing every drop of optimization and stability out of the game while making sure I can monitor exactly how well it’s running.
Sincerely your favorite arch elitist, Laspooky
