Stop by the Goodyear Library for fireworks safety info before your celebration. Did you know a sparkler can reach temperatures of up to 1,200°F—hot enough to melt glass! While sparklers may seem harmless, they can cause serious burns, especially to children. #burnprevention

Prepared for whatever comes next. Ladder 184 stands ready to respond when our community needs us. Between calls, our crews train, check equipment, and engage with the community to stay prepared for the next mission. Proud to serve Goodyear.

Arizona heat affects more than just you. Check on family, friends, and neighbors during hot weather. Children, older adults, and those spending time outdoors can be more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses. Who are you spending time with this summer? Be prepared. Stay safe.

Goodyear Fire reminds you to take breaks in the shade when spending time outdoors this summer. Even a short break from direct sunlight can help your body cool down and reduce the risk of heat-related illness. What's one place you're looking forward to visiting this summer?

Goodyear Fire responded to a kitten rescue with Ladder 184 after a homeowner heard meowing inside their home. Crews located a stray kitten trapped behind a dryer after entering through an outside vent and safely rescued it. Sometimes the smallest calls make the biggest impact.

FirePal Terri recently visited a local summer program to teach sparkler safety ahead of the Fourth of July. Students learned important fire safety lessons through hands-on activities, including an obstacle course and bucket brigade relay. Learning safety can be fun!
