Brian Shirley Racing on his win at Sycamore Speedway with the Summer Nationals on Sunday night:
"A little bit of luck tonight. The race car was pretty good. Being able to draw the front row, obviously, helped a lot. And then putting ourselves in the right position all night. And then like I said, the draw.
All-in-allreally just got to thank Thomason Express, Hoker Trucking, J&J Ventures, KBC Graphix, Allgaier Motorsports, CHEAP Cars, Bob and Lisa Cullen, all my sponsors. It's been a little bit of a rough year. Anthony, Brady for working hard. Like I said, my wife, my kids, my dad, everybody back home.
It's good. I wasn't sure, for a minute, if we was even going to be able to win one. For awhile we was just-. This week's been pretty rough, but each night we did find a couple things that were wrong so that helped. And in my mind it helped me know that, 'Hey, we're not as bad as what I think we are.' All-in-all we got a lot of work to do still. This is just still, luckily, a notch in the belt to not go winless. Being a Summer Nationals guy you always want to at least try and win one each year. So it's good to at least get this one. And now we'll get ready for Smoky Mountain."
