People in xbox live lobbies used it like the word "the" with complete disregard for the actual skin color of the other dude, i mean, it's not like you'd have a way to know anyway so
ah well theres the crux of the issue then eh? i believe any new housing should be affordable and environmentally sound. dont want another grenfell do we now?
the actual simple solution is govt subsidized social housing and that has nothing to do with zoning laws or deregulations etc lol thats a matter of getting politicians who arent bought and paid for by the real estate / landlord lobby
stripping environmental regulations, affordable housing requirements and ada requirements etc is net negative for any building. "making it easier to build" still wont get shit built bc conditions arent going to add up for greedy developers.
"Wearing a suit and tie to the interview won't guarantee you get the job" is a true statement, it doesn't follow from that you might as well go the job interview in your underwear.
true! But "let people build housing" makes the problems less complicated and easier to solve, and "don't let people build new housing" makes the problem more difficult to solve
It was never canceled. However Musk siphoned off funding and political capital for it until 2021 when the hyperloop idea essentially faded into nothingness.

The worse option? What if the YIMBYs get their way and the high rises don't pencil out? See Geneva Towers as a local example:
