Title: "YOU ARE the biggest D League Winner!" -You couldn't win when defense was legal -You couldn't win when there was a handcheck -You couldn't win when there were lane violations -You couldn't win when there was no official replay -You couldn't win when the ref didn't need 3 minutes to call the ESPN sportsbook to find out which way to go on a play -You couldn't win when 3pt percentage miraculously shot up to 40% -You couldn't win when games ended 92-78 F*CK YOU AND YOUR JOCK STRAP AND YOUR MOM'S JOCK STRAP. I'D RATHER WIN THE WNBA-WAIT, NO. I'D JUST RATHER SWIM IN MUD WITH PETE ROSE.

Dont give up a 29 pt lead and you wont have to cry about crap like this. Brunson has been getting chucked on the perimiter every time down court with zero handcheck and body-bump calls. So blame your own team for TOs and missed free throws.

you want to get bailed out there lol there's contact like that on every play, that's not a foul, the Spurs have been allowed to go back to the old handcheck rule slapping the shit out of the Knicks all series

Those are super weak first teams. More to that point, when Bron won his first title in 2012 (graphic from before thad 2013-2016), there was only one league opponent in the ESPN top 37 all-time that was in their top 8 seasons. Jordan's first title in 1991 had 7 such league opponents >The dudes making first and second team back then couldn't dribble left handed and couldn't shoot for shit. You will say 'oh the era it wasn't relevant at the time.' But you have to factor that LeDummy, the league made rule change to make offense much easier and they changed it to make it easier for perimeter players. When they effectively banned handchecking in 2004-05 season, the game instantly transformed from a post dominated game to a perimeter dominated game. Besides MJ, all but one MVP from 1991-2004 were post playing PF or C (Malone 2x, Shaq, Barkley, David Robinson, Duncan 2x, Garnett). Then from 2005 & after, it was all guards of wing players (Nash 2x, Kobe, LeBron 4x, Rose, Durant, Curry 2x, Westbrook, Harden). It wasn't until 2019 that Giannis as a new type of PF/C won MVP that a player that is somewhat similar to a post player of the past won MVP The rule changes include allowing far more palming which made dribbling much easier. It also included more steps which incentivized more perimeter play than post play. This in addition to handcheck ban. So many more rule changes I absolutely know you're dishonest and will not properly address the above or answer questions..and will pivot.

Bring back perimeter handcheck, remove the "legal traveling", landing zones rules, maybe 3 second paint rule and let's see what is up.

Dwyane Wade 2006 Finals: 34.7 PPG 7.8 RPG 3.8 AST 2.7 STL 1.0 BLK 47%FG 57%TS 2yrs earlier in the handcheck era, these offensive stats were much harder. The difference in physicality of 2006 vs 2004 was insane! 🎥 @NBAReplays_ , follow for great vids

>Jordan played in a time where help defense was illegal. NBA formed a committe in 2001 to look at ways to increase offense. They replaced illegal D with def 3 seconds and other rule changes and in 2005 added an effective handcheck ban. the 2001-02 replacement of illegal D lead to increase in ppg ts% ortg after a decade of decline. Why would NBA want to make scoring harder in 2002 after lowest scoring season, ratings down, and after forming a committee to look at increasing scoring?!

Just because they allowed harder fouls and you could handcheck doesn't mean the defense was better. If you've been watching the NBA playoffs the past couple of years and you grew up watching in the 80s and 90s, there's no way you'd say it's not as physical. Revisionist history

Y’all gotta realize MJ played in a handcheck era where they held U on EVERY play! Flagrant 2 fouls they throw you out the game for nowadays was just a regular foul. IF he avg 28 as a rookie with that physicality in this era where he could roam free he would’ve been unstoppable!💯
