The MRO HiRISE image ESP_019103_1460 shows the "Atlantic Chaos," and a closer examination reveals a city that was almost destroyed by the thermonuclear explosions. Amid the ruins of destroyed buildings and towering structures, a largely intact dome-shaped structure is visible.🧐🤔

HiRISE 3D: Next to the Debris Apron Today’s HiPOD also doubles as our 3D image of the day, as it was too good to resist. Here, a lower-lying channel is adjacent to a part of a large debris apron. uahirise.org/anaglyph/ESP_09… NASA/JPL-Caltech/University of Arizona #Mars #NASA

HiPOD: Dunes in Hellas Scientists on the HiRISE team take multiple pictures of the same dune fields on the Red Planet to see if they can detect subtle changes that would indicate if the dunes are moving. More: uahirise.org/ESP_075654_1385 NASA/JPL-Caltech/University of Arizona
