David “ El Monstruo “ Benavidez
vs
Dmitry “ Soviet Super Soldier “ Bivol
David Benavidez Best weapons
Framing , Guard peeling , Head posting , Lighting Fast Combinations , Improved Defense and Counter punching , great body combinations , improved head movement , High guard traps
Dmitry Bivol Best weapons
Spring / Hopback counters , L step/Shuffling outta range, pivoting , level changing feints , Lead hand level changing feints , inside/outside slip counters , great body puncher , active high guard , accurate combinations , catching and parrying shots , measuring distance control , shown guard controls and guard manipulation
Now the flaws
David Benavidez Flaws
Walks back in a straight line , gets in a squared stance and can be knocked off balance , chin is in the air when he’s throwing combinations , overextends with punches and could be countered right to the chin , slow feet and terrible footwork , when he throws his rear hand he tends to lift his rear foot up off the ground which compromises his base which can be countered and he also drops his lead hand leaving his chin open , Benavidez needs to get better at cutting of the ring cause he has tends to cross walk and shuffling into range and gathering his feet which is bad against athletic fighters
Dmitry Bivol flaws
Can be caught with multiple overhands if ur consistently level changing , when he’s in a high guard he tends to be flat footed and his body is open to be hit with combinations, one of his favorite jab setups is the false step jab that can be timed and countered cause he tends to be flat footed when he’s throwing this jab
Complete fighter vs Offensive Monster
This could be an all time classic or an all time ass whooping
I got Bivol Wide UD
S/O to
@GemsBoxing cause without his videos on these 2 fighters I wouldn’t of been able to understand this match up 🫡
