This final evidence will support a United Nations evidence submission concerning children’s rights, disability rights, safeguarding, discrimination, restrictive practices, recording and reporting failures, and access to remedy in England. You do not need photographs or documents to complete the survey. Most questions can be answered by ticking boxes, with space to give more detail if you wish. Americans watching this debate may be surprised by how different the legal protections are. In England, families continue to report physical restraint, seclusion, isolation and removal rooms being used as behaviour management practices, rather than genuine measures of last resort to prevent imminent serious physical harm. That should concern all parents, educators and lawmakers across the United States.

AbbyPD Investigating Serious Motorcycle Collision Abbotsford, BC – June 13th, 2026 – At approximately 2:06 p.m. today, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Whatcom Road and South Parallel Road. Emergency crews arrived to find a motorcycle and an SUV involved in a collision within the intersection. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital. The occupants of the SUV were shaken but were not injured. The investigation remains in its early stages, with assistance from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS). The intersection of Whatcom Road and South Parallel Road will remain closed for several hours as investigators process the scene. Whatcom Road is closed in both directions between Nelles Road and Highway 1, and South Parallel Road is closed between Cole Road and Angus Campbell Road. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash camera footage to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
