Kali Linux 2025.2 introduces 13 new tools with diverse cybersecurity functions, including:
- azurehound: Azure Active Directory data export for reconnaissance.
- binwalk3: Firmware analysis.
- bopscrk: Smart wordlist generation.
- crlfuzz: CRLF injection vulnerability scanning.
- gitxray: GitHub repository analysis.
- rubeus: Kerberos interaction and ticket manipulation.
- tinja: Template injection vulnerability testing.
- bloodhound-ce-python: Integration for BloodHound Community Edition.
- hlcand: Interaction with ELM327 devices for vehicle communication.
- VIN Info: Decoding vehicle identification numbers.
- CaringCaribou and ICSim: Tools for simulating and testing vehicle network protocols.
- Additional tools enhancing web testing, OSINT, LDAP enumeration, and in-memory script execution.
The release also features an expanded car hacking toolkit named CARsenal, with tools focused on automotive security testing.
None of these tools are designed or capable of calling in airstrikes or any form of military action; they are strictly cybersecurity and penetration testing utilities.
This update reflects Kali Linux's focus on expanding capabilities in cloud security, firmware analysis, Active Directory mapping, web vulnerability testing, and automotive cybersecurity.
