My earlier comment under this post has sparked some differences in opinions. No offense taken, we were simply sharing our knowledge and inputs on the matter. Thanks to @SirJarus for the platform to learn ad exchange inputs. However, it seems that the terms Graduate Trainees, Graduate Engineers, and Entry Level may have caused some misunderstanding. To clarify, each company has its own structure, and I can only speak from a few examples. At TotalEnergies, graduates of the Postgraduate Diploma from the Institute of Petroleum and Energy Studies (IPES), UNIPORT are attached for a one-year internship with TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited and are referred to as Graduate Trainees/Engineers. However, this does not guarantee retention or automatic employment into an entry-level role. Also, a few individuals from oil-producing host communities get to intern as Graduate Trainees/Engineers. For graduate trainee/engineer role, the payment as at 2024 was #400,000. You can dispute it, but I reconfirmed from a former graduate intern, which supports my initial input. He interned as a graduate trainee/engineer in 2023, and the pay was increased to #400,000 in 2024. You can say otherwise but a few other people have also attest to this pay within the year range. It is important to note that entry-level roles are different from graduate trainee/engineer positions. From the anonymous message, it is reasonable to infer that the person may be undergoing a trainee program while aiming to transition into TotalEnergies. If Seplat pays above ₦36 million annual gross (about ₦3.3 million monthly), then that imply TotalEnergies offers over a 300% increment for a similar role in another company? The same also happened in 2023/2024, when Schlumberger (SLB) paid over 300% of what TotalEnergies paid undergraduate interns. If it is true that TotalEnergies now pays ₦100 million for a graduate trainee/engineer role and not for an experienced position, then I’m wowed.
I'm not in tune with all these things again, but I doubt any IOC pays up to N100m per annum for graduate trainees.

However you can take PTDF short courses, NAPE trainings, and some IPES training. Also, get the PIA and read it. I also did some courses on stakeholder management at Lagos Business School and Petroknowledge.
