LOL. I was looking for solutions including starting a terminal and using old school UNIX sigint and a code to simulate claude -p ... Opus talked me out of it based on ToS and it would be a clear violation ... I was that desperate. Then I did studies and captured data on what it would cost me if this went into effect. Fell way short. So then looked at alternative models ... all this so I don't have to start a separate terminal that looks for a handoff doc and when it is done type - "implementer completed" in the strategist terminal and then close the implementer terminal ... now the strategists runs the implementer and I can think deeply about other things. FFS.

We stopped letting the agents negotiate their own roles on every single prompt. Now we give them fixed, persistent identities in o8—one as the planner, one as the implementer, one as the researcher. When the roles are static, the agents stop wasting tokens trying to figure out who is in charge and just execute their specific part of the loop. Cash and I found that this removes the friction of role-drift and keeps the output predictable. It turns a chaotic conversation into a disciplined assembly line.

Yung nagsuggest ka lang ng solution sa project problem, tapos biglang ikaw na yung project manager, implementer, QA, at support team. Next thing you know, wala ka nang work-life balance at mamamatay kang mag-isa. #ImOverthinkingIt right? @RX931 #TheMorningRush

Final experiment: use Codex as orchestrator/reviewer, and the local model only as implementer. This worked best. Small task → local model edits → review → tests → next task. Final result: working read-only CLI JSON output 45 passing tests.

Key takeaways: 👉 The top combinations mostly use Kimi as coder 👉 The best quality comes from using GPT-5.5 or Opus-4.6 as planner and Kimi as the implementer 👉 Combining the absolute SOTA models with open models shrinks your bill without sacrificing quality! 🤗

Planning is relatively cheap. Implementation is where the bill grows. Still, you should use SOTA LLMs as architects to lay a strong base for the implementer to work on.

I just built a quick harness that evaluates different combinations of Kimi K2.7, GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.8 Each one as architect or implementer. 👉 Ran each combination on a recent GH issue 👉 measured cost and quality on each of the runs. 🧵 Takeaways and cost breakdown below

New Type Theory Forall episode is out! I had the pleasure to partner with @serokell to bring you a conversation with @int_index, one of the main GHC contributors, former GHC Steering Committee member, and current implementer of Dependent Haskell. We talked about how GHC is developed, how the Haskell community decides to evolve the language, what it takes to start hacking on GHC, and then went deep into the theory and implementation of Dependent Haskell. This one gets technical in the best way. Watch here: twp.ai/E5D124 If you enjoy the show, consider supporting TTFA on Patreon, with a one-off donation, or by sponsoring an episode.

JWT validation is timestamp comparison. `nbf`, `iat`, `exp` are all checked against the consuming service's local clock. RFC 7519 §4.1 recommends a small leeway for clock skew but leaves the value to the implementer. Library defaults vary and don't surface their assumptions.

Donald mills, former space X director said “One thing I learned at SpaceX. Good ideas aren’t worth anything. Lots of people have good ideas, and they are willing to share them. What actually is valuable is the implementation. If you can make a good idea a reality, that is the secret sauce. There were several times when someone felt guilty about getting credit for implementing someone else’s good idea. Good ideas aren’t worth took 5 seconds to spout out, implementation took 6 months of 12 hour work days and blood sweat and tears. Full credit always goes to the implementer” I’m punching the air PROJECT MANAGEMENT BABY!! I am passionate about getting things done. Yes, I have been doing this for months driving the best local llm as implementer subagent with a cloud model as orchestrator through opencode. It works well. Qwen 3.6 27b on 2x 5060ti 16GB until a better one comes along.

Claude Code just shipped a small feature that is bigger than it looks. Subagents can now spawn their own subagents, up to 5 levels deep. So your workflow can become an agent tree: implementer -> reviewer -> verifier Powerful, but watch token burn.
Just landed nested subagent support in Claude Code Starting to experiment more with agents kicking off agents as a way to better manage context. Capped at depth=5 to start, going out in today’s release. Lmk what you think!
