Welcome my dear
$ABVX investors to my show "Why Abivax is Overvalued".
And we have a new candidate: ICOTYDE [icotrokinra], an oral IL-23 inhibitor developed by
$JNJ in partnership with
$PTGX.
So, according to the results of the Phase 2b ANTHEM-UC study.
Clinical remission:
â
Icotrokinra 400 mg (30.2%) vs. placebo (11.1%). difference, 19.1 percentage points. At week 12.
đ„ 50 mg obefazimod (21.7%) vs. placebo (2.5%). difference, 19.2 percentage points [ABTECT-1].
Meanwhile, in the ABTECT-2, 50 mg obefazimod (19.8%) vs. placebo (6.3%). difference, 13.5 percentage points.
Here I would like to clarify that obefazimod 25 mg did not demonstrate efficacy (ABTECT-2; p=0.1034). At week 8
Endoscopic improvement:
â
Icotrokinra 400 mg (36.5%) vs. placebo (14.3%). difference, 22.2 percentage points.
đ„ 50 mg obefazimod (33.3%) vs. placebo (5.7%). difference, 27.6 percentage points [ABTECT-1].
Meanwhile, in the ABTECT-2, 50 mg obefazimod (35.5%) vs. placebo (10.1%). difference, 25.4 percentage points.
Takeaway
So Icotrokinra and obefazimod have comparable efficacy data. But unlike
$ABVX's product candidate, there is no hint in the Icotrokinra studies that it causes cancer.
