On June 13, HKUST(GZ) unveiled its fourth INNOTECH — one of the most anticipated flagship tech events in the Greater Bay Area.
This year's edition is bigger and smarter than ever, bringing together over 150 cutting-edge tech projects and more than 900 investment institutions and industry leaders. Among them, 50% of the projects focus on artificial intelligence, while 20% are dedicated to embodied intelligence and advanced manufacturing. Other key tracks include new materials, biomedicine, low-altitude economy, and smart mobility.
Notably, over 80 projects are led by HKUST(GZ) faculty and students, accounting for more than half of all exhibits. Since 2023, the number of HKUST(GZ)-origin projects has grown by 2.7 times, achieving a compound annual growth rate of 39%. These aren't just classroom concepts — many have already earned global recognition on various platforms, including Geneva Inventions and CES.
At its core, INNOTECH bridges lab research and real-world impact, reflecting HKUST(GZ)'s commitment to deep-tech entrepreneurship in the GBA.
