Who knew dirt could be so exciting? ๐งโ๐ฌ Our first science investigation had the kids uncovering all the hidden treasures in soil. ๐ฑ๐ @GutermuthES@JCPSScience
2nd grade is busy! They explored outside to determine what rocks make up Earth & what happens when you rub 2 rocks together. They also dissected a flower to ID its structures & functions. This gave them background knowledge for their next literacy unit! @JcpsElemEla@JCPSScience
Hands-on learning at @StopherSharks yesterday! Fifth graders made observations about some moldy matter (decomposed fruits), while second grade Sharks/engineers developed a blue print and created a structure in STEAM. #StopherShines@JCPSAcademics@JCPSScience
In addition to a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch, third grade explored seeds today. We soaked them overnight and then peeled off the seed coat and looked at the embryos! @JCPSScience
Ms. Chavezโs class has been working on Cells and Systems lesson 2! It was their first hands on activity and their first scientist circle. These 7th graders did great! #openscied#jcpsscience#HighlandPROUD
