“It's nothing compared to what Texans are going through every day. Texans are struggling right now to afford the basic things: groceries and gas, insurance, childcare, prescription drugs, higher education, rent and mortgage.
The fact that politicians, including our sitting United States Senator Ted Cruz, are throwing embarrassing cheap nicknames at their political opponents instead of focusing on improving Texans' lives is everything that's wrong with our politics. It's why people are so fed up with this broken system because it doesn't serve them or improve their lives.
It looks a lot more like professional wrestling…. Those nicknames don't lower the cost of groceries, gas, utilities, or insurance. I'm going to keep talking about the things that Texans actually care about, and I'm going to keep proposing solutions to make their lives better.”
