💡 As organizations move from single-agent applications to multi-agent systems, development becomes increasingly difficult. A single workflow may involve multiple agents, tools, services, and APIs distributed across Kubernetes environments. Debugging these interactions often requires repeated deployments and lengthy feedback cycles.
Using kagent and mirrord, we demonstrate how developers can run agents locally while connecting to live Kubernetes services, enabling rapid iteration, debugging, and validation of distributed agent workflows without redeploying every change.

💻 🤖 Kubernetes is incredibly good at orchestrating and clustering nodes to ensure that workloads have the proper amount of resources available.
And the primitives of Kubernetes (Pods, autoscaling, clustering of Worker Nodes) are still very-much needed, but there needs to be a tool/platform for the Agentic era that builds on top of what we know as k8s today.
That's where Agent Substrate comes into play.
Underneath the hood, Substrate uses gvisor (the same thing as the Agent Sandbox project from the CNCF SIG), which is a container sandbox developed by Google that focuses on security and isolation.
The efficiency and isolation an agent runtime built for Kubernetes == kagent Agent Substrate.
