Good if you move to any country do not rely in social homes and benifits, Yes keyworkers should be allowed i agree as i do understand some parts of the UK its impossible to be a nurse and find affordable homes to rent.

I'm a teacher. Many of our kids were barely off school as they were the children of keyworkers (no checks made). Every year students in Y11 & Y13 are off from mid May until September except for exams. That's 14 weeks too. No one ever mentions that. educationhub.blog.gov.uk/202…

The lowest paid are by default often the ones who contribute the most. Keyworkers they were referred to during Covid lockdown. Soon forgotten about by paymasters sadly

Quote” But here’s the thing. He never allowed the slightest leeway to others in similar circumstances. As leader of the Opposition, he always assumed the worst, always levelled accusations of lying, always demanded resignations. Boris Johnson was, in my view, also telling the truth as he understood it when he said that he had been “assured that no Covid rules were broken”. He plainly took the word “party” to mean a festive congregation of invited guests, not a break for tea among keyworkers. The only actual party in Number 10 was organised by officials while Boris was 40 miles away. Yet Starmer insisted that this was “industrial-scale law-breaking,”
This is going to be unpopular, but here goes. I believe Sir Keir Starmer. I don’t think he would be so foolish, or so careless, as to lie to Parliament. He is an ultra-cautious man, a creature of procedure. When he says that he did not discover until this month that Peter Mandelson had been denied security clearance as a potential ambassador, I think he is telling the truth. But here’s the thing. Yeap. And CTOs aren't just about psychiatric medication. Too infrequently RCs, AMHPs, NHS Keyworkers, others involved, don't think about broader CTO supplementary conditions that sit with s17B(2).

Unaccountable ‘charities’ like Sustrans / living streets scooped up millions in public cash, ignored inclusive design, advised councils to implement ableist infra, burdened keyworkers/ disabled BBH with fines & extra costs & called it ‘progress’ while widening inequalities 🤯

& social housing - while nurses & other keyworkers pay over £1,500pcm to live in 1-2 room Peabody flats in London, families transferred from council flats to live in the same Peabody flats in massive 3 bed flats pay less than half that pcm even if they work - how is that fair?

Having read #Module3 of the @covidinquiryuk we can honestly say that while it touches on - and indeed is useful evidence - it fails to properly address or provide recommendations for many of the issues facing #keyworkers with #LongCovid. We leave you with this:

Keyworkers kept the country going during the pandemic. Too many paid the ultimate price. We must learn the lessons their experiences teaches us. During this time of Covid day of reflection events we remember the dead and fight for the living.

Deeply poignant at @The_TUC as we took a moment to reflect on the experiences of Keyworkers during the Covid-19 pandemic as part of the Covid Day of Reflection events.

This Ramadan, Widden Primary School reached out to Gloucester Royal Hospital to help recognise the incredible dedication of Muslim keyworkers. Pupils wrote messages of appreciation to thank staff who continue to care for others while observing fasting and working long shifts.
