The idea of someone magically wiping away my problems and filling me with hope and reassurance would be an amazing feeling. Even though I claim I don’t care if I’m accepted by others, it’s human nature to want to feel accepted for who we are. To matter so somebody else is an incredible feeling. The idea of healing Vincent and what troubled him, his personal turmoil and insecurities is such a strong and welcoming message. I can’t help but think how different his life would be if he received this, if someone from the future told him how much he mattered and the impact his works of art have on others. I think it would change his outlook dramatically and that he wouldn’t have had to suffer in the way he did. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies and our inner conflicts can spill over into who we are. It transforms us into something we are not. Have you ever felt this? Wouldn’t it have been wonderful for someone to wipe away your fears and insecurities and replace them with light and positivity?
