“No! Absolutely Not!”
When I opened my eyes, I found myself lying in an unfamiliar field.
…No, wait. I know this scenery.
I looked down at my clothes.
Yes, I’ve seen this outfit before.
And the staff lying beside me, too.
If my memory is right, there should be a large man collapsed nearby.
…There he is.
A knight in full armor, still gripping his sword even while unconscious.
I know this man.
As I approached, he woke up.
“Laios! You’re awake?”
The words slipped out of my mouth before I could think.
We exchanged information.
We escaped the dungeon using magic.
But only one person was missing—Laios’s sister, Falin.
He explained that she had been eaten by a dragon and couldn’t escape with us.
Soon after, a small man arrived and informed us that two party members had left.
I knew him too.
Chilchuck, a halfling skilled in lockpicking and trap detection.
As the three of us shared what we knew, Laios declared he would go rescue his sister.
Reckless. Far too reckless.
I tried desperately to stop him, but his resolve didn’t waver.
And strangely, something deep inside me urged me to follow that resolve.
Because I knew what awaited us.
And it didn’t take long to appear.
While exploring the dungeon, a walking mushroom appeared, chasing rookie adventurers.
Laios defeated it easily and said:
“Let’s make this our lunch today.”
It’s here… it’s finally here.
This world is the world of Delicious in Dungeon.
And somehow, I’ve been reincarnated as Marcille.
Ahead of me lie countless hardships—
injuries, petrification, even death.
But more unbearable than any of that is the endless parade of monster cuisine.
Bugs, fish‑people eggs… no. Absolutely not.
But I also know the story won’t let me escape it.
I know that. I do.
But I still hate what I hate.
So even knowing it was pointless, I screamed at the top of my lungs:
“NOOOO!”
