Personally, I've never found it confusing. The confusion was created by those who, in those years, disseminated information without a clear understanding of how it worked, or did so for strategic, marketing, or (mistakenly) "simplification" reasons. But the situation has always been clear. @Dashpay is a decentralized network. The Dash Core Group is an independent software house that works exclusively on the Dash code and self-funds through proposals through the DAO, completely avoiding external VCs. On several occasions in recent years, funding for their proposals has failed for various reasons: this shows that if they weren't working for the good of Dash, the votes (and therefore the funding) would disappear. If you want to talk about a CEO, Ryan was the CEO of the Dash Core Group. Dash governance is complex, but it has worked perfectly since its inception: docs.dash.org/en/stable/docs… Talking about "staking" for Dash is also incorrect. Staking your funds in a Masternode to earn clear and sustainable rewards is very different from the traditional definition of "staking," used for almost all other projects where you earn tokens created by companies. However, yes, today the situation regarding development and dissemination has changed dramatically. The community has been doing a fantastic job in recent years. Dash now has all the characteristics to return to its former glory and, above all, to gain widespread acceptance.

It has struggled with adoption compared to newer chains, but its masternode model and governance system remain unique. In a world pushing for more privacy coins, could Dash see a revival?
