I also track down snap on or Matco trucks to buy specialty tools, worked on cars since 11yrs old, owned my own garage, now fix houses, can build anything, house, car, truck, heavy equipment like Bobcat skid steers, & excavators etc, been working & fixing things since 1981

Yes I have a special dislike of really bad tools. Snap On & Matco for cars. Wiha for Electronics Repair.

attempt to avoid Snap On. As I told Frank earlier, I'm still daily using my father's 1950 Matco 3/8" ratchet and the sockets that came with it in a thin red metal box.
Why not? They survived my juvenile abuse from the get go, and are still functional long after my dad passed.

Don't understand why students will buy the cheapest tools for a class that requires these tools. Snap On and Matco sell their tools at a discount to students. Tools made using actual strong metals.
The only cheap tool you should buy is the 10mm socket.

Never used Matco tools. SnapOn and Mac sure, plus a handful of Belzer tools.
That was all a long time ago though. Now the wrenches would turn me. 🤣
