I implement it as a learning curve, not as goal to search for a 1% gain in returns each day.
Write down what you learned each day. If you like to look at charts, start learning technical analysis. Keep an excel of your (paper) trades with a screenshots of the chart and why you made the trade and your timeframe or stop-loss on it. Your excell will be a goldmine of information after a year.
If you like fundamental analysis, you can do the same but with metrics like: TAM, ROIC, GP maring, SAM, bottleneck etc… write down why you would buy the company, what is your thesis with your key matrics. What is your exit strategy. Again your excel will be your gold mine with information.
