The other day you said there has never been one like your 'dad'. I remember you setting up the #medicsforkenya to attend those suffering from bullet wounds, hitting spaces hard appealing for blood donations ..ONLY for him to be 'Dad' after broad-based. wakora ni wengi. Haha

You actually stopped!? The proprietor #medicsforkenya stopped taking milk because a politician asked them not to. Shakahola slowly making sense.

If you were affected by the 2024 Maandamano whether through being shot, beaten or abducted, the KNHRC has set aside 2Billion for restorative justice. @MedicsForKenya has a record of all victims we handled and we shall forward the names.

Medics For Kenya will always be bigger than me. Dr @salimishmael_ and the entire committee envisioned it to be larger than the founders. Judge me for my politics but appreciate @MedicsForKenya for the perfect job it foes for humanity.

I have done a lot of volunteerism in my career path but this @MedicsForKenya was my most fulfilling event ever. My fam could not understand why I'd put my life in danger namna hii. I had to seek psychological counseling when all this was done.I'd still do it again. Heko kwako doc
We received too many donations mpaka we were unable to keep track. At one point we didn't have cash and supplies were over. I left for Mbagathi to borrow supplies as @salimishmael_ posted and asked for aid. By the time I was back we were in excess in supplies and contributions. Mungu ni nani

There was a rumour that the government might shut the street lights off. We had to be ready. Either way, the day was over and the bulk of the emergencies had been attended to. That’s what we thought.

Trip after trip. Insanity upon nightmare. Package after package. Kenyans supplied the medical camp, saved lives, and helped many to survive and tell the tale. At sunset, we dropped off an emergency light.

We finally made it to the camp and resupplied the good doctors, with volunteers from amongst our friends and fellow demonstrators joining in to lend a hand. They had no clue what they were signing up for. None of us did.

The government also abandons their hired killers when they get injured in the course of facilitating State terrorism against citizens. Pole Dr. @lizwala is why I only delivered Deep Freeze.

At every turn, we were harassed by the police. The unit blocking the NHIF/All Saints Cathedral Roundabout threatened us. The squad manning the Uhuru Highway/University Way Roundabout refused to let us pass unless bribed with Deep Heat.

They seemed unfazed, even with a random dreadlocked artist on the pillion clutching on to a precious package or another. More than once we had to negotiate with our fellow protestors.

How do you get the medical supplies in? Boda bodas and a few friends. I spent the rest of the afternoon with Izzo and Ken. Two brave riders. Crisscrossing Nairobi, dodging rocks, teargas and bullets.

Many people were willing to donate and had in fact already purchased or packed supplies. But the Nairobi Central Business District was locked down. Spikes, boots and guns everywhere you turned.

Kenyans, of course, responded with that famous generosity that has become our reputation. Posts. DMs. Calls. We had a new problem: coordination.

We immediately learnt that basic necessities like pain killers, bandages and tetanus vaccines were needed. The medics had a donation appeal out. We amplified it and added a request for donations in supplies, alongside the cash.
