Can this be solved with money? If so, is there not an alum or group of wealthy alums who will step up? I have no affiliation with MIT, but I’d even chip in if someone in the community would take the lead on this. I hate to see human knowledge become less accessible

As an MIT faculty, I can say both are true: 1. The libraries closing is symbolically really sad. 2. The MIT Libraries (@mitlibraries) team is incredible, led with real vision. They have done an extraordinary job adapting. As a humanist at MIT i have tremendous support.
