I would have sent the entire order back! I've been under enormous stress the past two months over 3 dresses for a formal event coming up. Previously found packages at the mailbox on the side of the road. My driveway is about 1/16 of a mile so I can't even see the mailbox!

I sent the email twice. Apparently his mailbox is full or he closed it down. I just get "undeliverable" notice from the Pima mail postmaster.

i've found stuff in the mailbox, by the gate, on the porch, the truck's fender and in a small garbage can.

There are few things better than opening the mailbox and finding an advance copy of a highly anticipated thriller—and this one immediately moved to the top of my reading stack. I’m excited to dive into the next chapter of the legendary Mitch Rapp series, as @bentleydonb takes the reins of one of modern fiction’s most iconic intelligence operators. As many of you know, I’ve long appreciated Bentley’s work—not only because he writes with the authenticity that comes from his service as a former FBI Special Agent, SWAT operator, and Army Apache helicopter pilot, but because he understands the men and women who operate in the shadows to keep the nation safe. In this latest mission, the hunt is on. When a Pakistani chemical weapons scientist for hire is abducted from the streets of Verona, Mitch Rapp is thrust into a race against time to infiltrate the jihadist cell responsible before they can exploit the scientist’s deadly expertise. But the stakes are far more complicated than a simple rescue mission. The scientist’s knowledge represents an existential threat capable of shattering alliances, creating unlikely partnerships among enemies, and reigniting old conflicts across the Middle East. If the Mitch Rapp novels have always excelled at one thing, it is their ability to blend relentless action with the uncomfortable realities of modern geopolitics. From Vince Flynn’s original vision to the authors who have carried his legacy forward, the series has never shied away from asking what must be done when civilized nations confront those who recognize no rules. I’m looking forward to seeing what Don Bentley brings to Rapp’s next battle. My full review will be coming soon, but based on the premise alone, this looks like another explosive entry in a series that has earned its place among the very best in the thriller genre. A special thank you to @AtriaMysteryBus and the team at Emily Bestler Books/Atria for the advance copy. Mitch Rapp returns September 15, 2026—and I have a feeling readers will not want to miss this one.
