Yeah either unplug the fan, or stick something in it to stop the blades from spinning. turning a motor while off makes it a generator. So they replaced your PSU? Yeah with parts in hand that's like a 45 min to 1 hour job if its hard and you have to rip everything old out.

What? Did you turn the power off at the PSU before cleaning? You probably shorted something if you held the can upside down and went full ice storm. Never heard of spinning fans from a CO2 can ever causing an issue, ever, in my life.

Oh you didn't hold them still when you fired compressed air on them? Shouldn't do much normally, maybe damage a fan header. Taking out a PSU would be crazy. There is supposed to be protection against this stuff

The fans became a generator when I used it in the pc likely and shorted the power supply. At least that’s what they said
