We are happy to welcome our new intern, Marie Terzian Benichou. She is a master’s student in international migration at the MIGRINTER laboratory at the University of Poitiers. As part of her training, she has been developing research work dedicated to the forced displacement of Artsakh Armenians since 2023. Her work is part of a broader analysis of the contemporary dynamics of forced migration, with particular attention to the territorial issues of forced displacement. She plans to continue this research within the The Regional Center for Democracy and Secuirty (RCDS), with the aim of analyzing the responses of the Armenian government to the forced displacement, through the study of public policies and institutional arrangements in place, as well as to examine the dynamics of marginalization and vulnerability likely to result from it. At RCDS, she will contribute to the various projects carried out by the centre on refugee integration, with a particular interest in initiatives related to their economic integration.

Entre 2016 et 2019, j'ai habité à Poitiers. J'ai fait un master en migrations  internationales au Laboratoire Migrinter ( googlez pour savoir ). C'est important de le préciser à ce stade de mon propos car je sais de quoi je parle. À Poitiers, je me suis engagée auprès de jeunes mineur.es non xn--accompagn-j4a.es au sein de l'organisme où j'ai réalisé mon volontariat. Les jeunes que j'ai xn--rencontr-i1a.es avaient traversé la Méditerranée en bateau pour avoir une vie meilleure. Ils/elles venaient de milieux très modestes. Ils/elles sont nombreux.ses ces jeunes ivoirien.nes qui ont tenté de rejoindre l’Europe via les côtes lybiennes ou marocaines.  La principale raison du départ en migration c'est la pauvreté. Ces personnes qui partent en migration veulent un climat favorable à leur épanouissement. Et ce climat favorable, c'est un État de droit qui garantit les mêmes chances à tous.tes.

Hier je suis allée voir mon amie fraîchement Dre en études féministes. Ns avons évoqué pourquoi ns ns sommes lancer dans la recherche après notre parcours au laboratoire Migrinter. Le rdv devait durer 2h, il a duré 4h. On a parlé de théorie, santé mentale, spiritualité...
