Shortly after getting married, she found herself with over 100 children in an orphanage in Port de Paix, Haiti. It was because of Heather, her husband Janeil, and the support of many others that these kids were able to eat and go to school in a safe environment. But it was never easy. God doesn’t promise that we will always have smooth sailing. Paul, the writer of this letter to the church in Philippi, experienced beatings, imprisonment, persecution, and four shipwrecks! No, God promises we can find strength in Jesus Christ to overcome adversity and find contentment regardless of the circumstances.
