A young man was jailed for 4 years for stealing musical instruments from a church.
But you're here trying to convince us that Chairman Wontumi has "depth of thinking" and should escape punishment after stealing millions of dollars.
You really are a disappointment
Three weeks ago, I had lunch with Chairman Wontumi. We discussed Ghana, his trials, tribulations, and his political future. I was awestruck by the depth of his thinking. Stripped of all his previous political overreach in speech and conduct, he is a maverick well on his way to reformation, obviously influenced by possible outcomes of his court battles. Whatever the outcome, the man says, "I am not accepting everything being said of me, but it is good these things happen... a good learning curve. May our God be with him on this journey." I think remorse combined with a plea bargain should be considered, as long as we get back our money with interest.
By the way, we met at the restaurant by chance. He paid for my lunch.
