Originally written in Typescript, but I wanted to challenge myself and added a rewrite of netsim in Rust as well.
Around 80% was written by me using traditional means for producing code. 20% was generated by GPT 5.5, this includes mostly infrastructure code which in this case are docker compose demos.

Very cool to watch it grow in your codebase. After initial 100 LOC / 3 hours, I started moving way faster and now netsim written in Rust is almost 10% of the entire code.
I know Rust is idiomatic, requires more care/handling than Typescript but still last 3 days I was able to write quite a lot.

I'm rewriting netsim from Typescript to Rust. My current pace is 96 LOC / 3 hours. No clanker allowed, unless I want to use it as a smart google search. I just close my eyes every time this mf doesn't listen and tries to feed me the implementation I want to write myself.

Recently, I got interested in drone swarms. Got an idea that try to write my own "sim", but I wanted to do it a differently than regular sims.
Here's first demo that is worth posting about. Looks unimpressive, but I really wanted to give it a go.

In this range-limited scenario, netsim enforces a 25 m communication radius. Nearby drones hear the leader and follow the formation.
You can see that when leaders go back, it invites drone-4 to the swarm. Drone-5 is out of range, doesn't join.

This demo shows a Reynolds-inspired formation controller for a small autonomous drone swarm.
Each drone runs as its own process, communicating over Redis. They do not read global state; they only react to messages that netsim delivers.
