The Holy martyrs of Uganda whose heroic lives we commemorate today and in this month of June fought against what some of us celebrate as “pride” in the same month of June. As African Catholics they refused to yield and summit to the sin of homosexual activities. The Catholic Church is still proud of them for upholding her teaching even to the point of death. They remind us that we should not be afraid to continue speaking against the trending evil in the society especially on social media space. Same way fornication, adultery and other sins cannot be institutionalised is the same way we must condemn the evil of homosexual activities. May the Holy martyrs of Uganda 🇺🇬, Charles Lwanga and companions continue to inspire us in our struggle and fight against immoral trends. We celebrate God's one Nature and the three persons in one God. The three Divine Persons of the Blessed Trinity are United without any confusion and distinct without any separation. This is a great mystery! It is a great mystery not in the sense that we cannot understand the Blessed Trinity. It is a mystery because we cannot fully understand it but we can understand it to the extent God chooses to reveal himself to us in the Scripture. Although the term "Trinity" is not found in the scripture, the evidence of the manifestation of the Divine persons are replete in the Scripture both in the Old and the New Testament. May the Unity, solidarity and love that flow in the community life of the Blessed Trinity be present in our lives, relationships, families, communities and in the world so that we may enjoy peace and goodness. Francesco Forgione, znany jako święty ojciec Pio ur. 25 maja 1887 w Pietrelcinie, zm. 23 września 1968 w San Giovanni Rotondo) Każdego ranka, kiedy Ojciec Pio wchodził na ołtarz, aby odprawiać Mszę Świętą, odczuwał dojmujący ból. Ojciec Vincenzo z Casacalendy, który pisał na temat nabożeństw Ojca Pio, stwierdził: Pamiętamy […] jego prosty i zaangażowany sposób bycia. Trudno było mu się przedostać przez gęsty tłum ludzi, który niechętnie się rozstępował, aby pozwolić mu przejść. Jego twarz nie wyrażała jednak dostojeństwa ani nadnaturalnej mocy, ale raczej grymas cierpienia. […] Nie można się było znudzić jego widokiem. Doskonale pasował do tajemnicy Męki i wydawało się, że urodził się po to, by ją czcić. Ktoś powiedział: „Słowa Ojca Pio były stanowcze, szczere i czyste”. Pewien mężczyzna wyznał kiedyś Ojcu Pio na spowiedzi, że miał nieczyste myśli. „Ile razy to się zdarzyło?” – zapytał kapłan. „Sześć lub siedem razy” – odparł mężczyzna. „Ale siedem to nie to samo co sześć, bo to o jeden grzech śmiertelny więcej” – odrzekł Ojciec Pio Ojciec Pio bardzo się bał obrazić Boga i był gotów zrobić wszystko, by tego uniknąć. Nie miał żadnych złudzeń co do ludzkiej natury. Stwierdził: „Dopóki w naszych ciałach pozostanie choćby kropla krwi, dopóty będzie trwać walka między dobrem a złem”. Ojciec Pio nie chciał, by podczas spowiedzi ludzie wynajdywali wymówki dla swoich grzechów i zaniedbań. Pewna kobieta z Gioia del Colle odwiedziła kiedyś Ojca Pio. Podczas spowiedzi wyznała, że któregoś razu opuściła niedzielną Mszę z powodu deszczu. „Ale kiedy wyjeżdżałaś do San Giovanni Rotondo, także padał deszcz” – odpowiedział Ojciec Pio. – „Już nigdy nie wolno ci opuścić Mszy, chyba że zatrzyma cię choroba” – dodał. Ojciec Pio przywiązywał ogromną wagę do częstej spowiedzi. Jak mawiał: „Kurz zbiera się nawet w szczelnie zamkniętym pomieszczeniu”. Sam stosował się do tego, co zalecał innym. Często korzystał z sakramentu pokuty, a przed spowiedzią gorliwie się modlił i prosił Maryję Dziewicę o wstawiennictwo. Zawsze czuł wielką skruchę z powodu swoich grzechów i nierzadko płakał, gdy się spowiadał. ***** Ojciec Pio był kapłanem zaledwie od kilku lat, kiedy pewnego dnia wezwał go jeden z rolników z miasteczka. Robactwo zaatakowało jego zboża i drzewa owocowe i wydawało się, że plony zostaną całkowicie zniszczone. Gospodarz zapytał Ojca Pio, czy zechciałby pójść z nim na pola i je pobłogosławić. Ojciec Pio się zgodził. Uczynił znak krzyża nad ziemiami należącymi do rolnika i gorliwie się modlił. Wkrótce po tym błogosławieństwie rolnik zobaczył ze zdumieniem, że wszystkie szkodniki pospadały na ziemię. Wieść o tym szybko rozeszła się wśród ludzi. Imagine the Nigeria Government coming out boldly to say: “Happy Children’s Day Celebration” when they have failed the children in all ramifications. Which children are they wishing to be happy on this day that not many children can feed well due to bad economy. There is on power supply to enjoy their childhood. Even more seriously certain children with their teachers including a baby are still held by their abductors and up until now no proactive measures have been taken to rescue them. They are only interested in doing election primaries in order to be voted into office again come 2027. This is the heartless government we have in Nigeria and some African countries right now. This is not colonialism! This is perpetrated by fellow Nigerians and Africans to their fellow citizens! I can only understand they are celebrating their children in Europe and America. Good news! We a new Capuchin Franciscan Bishop Fr. Emilio Biosca Agüero, OFMCap. Appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Venice, Florida USA. On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the Holy Father appointed our Br. Emilio Biosca Agüero, OFMCap. His Excellency Bishop Emilio Biosca Agüero was born on December 15, 1964, in Fairfax, Virginia (USA), and entered the St. Augustine Province (Pennsylvania), making his religious profession on November 16, 1988; he was ordained a priest on May 21, 1994. Fr. Emilio completed his theological formation at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Washington, D.C., earning a Licentiate in Theology. Assignments and pastoral ministry: he served as a missionary in Papua New Guinea (1994–2006), where he also served as a councilor for the custody; after a brief period in the province, he went as a missionary to Cuba (2007–2018).
