Two Fold Cold (David Ingraham) launched a first-over challenge down the backstretch and drew alongside the leader at the 1:22.2 three-quarters, but Ammo refused to give way. Turning for home, Ammo opened up by a length, but Mydadsaid A angled out of the pocket and came charging late with a strong closing kick. Under heavy urging from Athearn, Ammo dug in gamely and held on by a neck in 1:50.2. The victory was a seasonal best for the 6-year-old and his fastest winning mile since December 9, 2024.
