The reason I (and others) followed the account is 1) because Verhulst is a known academic in this field, 2) an account claiming to be Verhulst (possibly an abandoned X account) messaged me yesterday about launching the ODPL project. No mention at all of any token.

I did a search on him on all the shits he’s been at, all the legit sites lead to the stefans x, so in reality this was just a perfect scam until dave came back online.

We understand that, he’s saying the fact that you followed the random account gave verification to the fact that it’s most likely legit because why would you be following a random crypto account with no followers. Hopefully that token can be revived as many are holding losses
