舞台はキューバ料理店Habana Outpost。優勝決定となる第5戦の試合開始から深夜1時過ぎまで、彼は104歳のシンガー114w103型チェーンステッチ刺繍機──愛称ジェシカ──を持ち込み、用意していたニックス・ファン向けデザイン15点を完売。さらに通りすがりの人々の着衣に「Send the Spurs to the 'Knick U.'」などのスローガンを直接縫い込んだ。
過去4年、夏になるとこの機械を市内の各所に運び、自らを「布にタトゥーを彫る人」と称してきた。彼の刺繍は太い針を用いるため、伝統的なアメリカン・タトゥーのような風合いになるという。タトゥー彫師のようにフラッシュデザインの綴り帳を携え、1分で仕上がるものから数時間を要するものまで対応。料金は衣類への刺繍が20ドル（約3,100円）、帽子のデザインが60ドル（約9,300円）が目安。
