A man hit for the cycle and we still needed a walk-off walk to win. PCA was perfect โ 4-for-4, every kind of hit there is โ and the rest of the lineup went 0-for-9 with RISP and stranded 12. We can not keep asking MVPETE to be the whole offense.

PCA is hitting the ball much harder than in the past, swinging much harder than in the past, & swinging much less than in the past- while making more contact.
He's being selective & finding pitches to punish. Like Craig Counsell said postgame, the process is more controlled.
Pete Crow-Armstrong saw 20 pitches while hitting for the cycle. The quality of his takes stood out. This is a hitter who is feeling comfortable and maturing.
