Wait the 9 members was supposed to be "Pinkpunk" and that went on until there were only 5 girls left. Then became "Blackpink" when they became 4. This is the first time I heard of aphrodite?? I don't think the pinks ever mentioned it.

There were plans to debut a 9 mem gg w the name pinkpunk, but 2 of them left/ weren't final, then the group became 7, w the pinks, miyeon, J nd E. Due to yg's hag ass delaying the debut J & E left, 5 was the finalized one w miyeon, leaks said miyeon even recorded forever young

The Recording Academy may have gotten the wrong information from some website.
YG stated that they wanted to create a group inspired by SNSD. Nine trainees were originally part of the training project. It's not Aphrodite 9, but the choices were PinkPunk, Babymonster, and Magnum.
