Retford FC Add Firepower with the Signing of Bernard Nsiah
Retford FC have strengthened their attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 campaign with the signing of highly rated young striker Bernard Nsiah from Pinxton FC.
The 20‑year‑old Northern Irish forward arrives at The Rail with a growing reputation and a proven eye for goal. Nsiah finished last season as Pinxton’s top scorer, netting 16 goals in 30 appearances, and quickly became one of the most talked‑about young attackers in the area.
Choughs supporters will already know his name — and for good reason. Many still remember THAT late goal he scored at The Rail in our crucial 3–1 home win over Pinxton at the end of last season, a goal that set many heartbeats racing when Pinxton levelled the scores!
Before his move to Pinxton, he spent time with Crusaders in Northern Ireland and he later featured for Belper United and Mickleover FC.
He adds genuine competition and extra firepower up front as the Choughs look to build on last season’s progress.
At just 20, he’s an exciting prospect with plenty of room to grow — and judging by the plaudits he earned last year, he’s arriving with plenty of momentum and confidence.
Retford FC fans will be eager to see him in blue for the first time when pre‑season begins, and if his past performances are anything to go by, he could quickly become a fan favourite.
