The importance of dried filament....2-3kg spools have always been a struggle for me printing large projects (check out the FDMs8 build) and the Polybox storage containers just didn't cut it. As requested from the community, @Polymaker_3D designed and released the Polydryer XL with support for the standard dock. Yes it works, this 3kg spool of Polylite ASA was 25% rh when put in, 24hrs later on level 2 it is now sitting at 10% rh. It's not the fastest at drying due to the larger container size but it solves a problem most of us have with larger spools. Will be releasing a breakdown video / my thoughts on it, comparing it to the regular size ..stay tuned 📺

this stuff is great to print from 3kg spools, as long as your humidity level in the room is low. I found out even at 25-30% rh the spool would get bad enough it was tricky to print. Dry it to 10% prints absolutely perfect. I run the polybox that holds 3kg spools to keep it dry while printing now.

now i think about it, i need to finish the polydyer dock to polybox conversion so I can dry 3kg fiberon spools while im printing them.

someone I was talking to a while ago was working on a modular dry box similar to the polybox but totally diy and can support multiple containers including the polybox's ill see where hes at with that bc itlo likely be the best option for 3kg

Because the Polybox won't keep it as fizzy as the bottle.

Regenerate the desiccant outside of the polybox, it helps.

Interesting, maybe it’s the humidity sensor in the one PolyBox. Switched the spool into another one and it’s below 25% for the first time

My @BambulabGlobal X1C is just solid. Look at this: PETG-CF using an @E3DOnline #Revo #ObXidian. The filament dried for a day in the @Polymaker_3D #Polydryer to 15% humidity. It printed out of the #Polybox on a @WhamBamSystems PEX plate using @VisionMiner NPA. #Perfection.👨‍🍳💋
