Oh wow, what a small world! 😆 It’s amazing that you live nearby! These Pokémon postboxes are absolutely adorable! I'm so glad I could bring Yoshi-kun back to his hometown. He seems extra happy to be here🥹

The UK really needs to rethink their Postboxes. Just saying 💁🏻‍♀️ I know they’re really old, which is a good thing. But they need to change the color.

I find it rather reassuring, given what a cesspit this site can be at times, that 2 of my most popular posts of recent weeks have been photos of postboxes. Maybe all is not lost…

The lovely town of Framlingham Suffolk has a beautiful ruined castle and one of the oldest postboxes still in use. Cast in Derby in 1856, octagonal in design it has a vertical slot that lets in rain. This feature was modified in subsequent boxes. #PostboxSaturday

Makes sense. There are still some British Mandate manholes around, red postboxes too. Modern Israel is only 78 years old. There were no manholes in ancient Israel...

A lovely member once described these as screwtop postboxes and now I can’t unsee it. The “improvements” kind of give the same energy… #PostboxSaturday 😬📮👍

Because postboxes in some countries are merely functional and not so beautiful, there is not much love for it. When mail went electronic, these have just become fodder/platforms for vandals. So sad.
