I'm glad you explained, I was going to. When I was a kid crumpets were called pyclets, I'm not sure if that's purely an East Midlands name.

7 years ago today I was recording the fabulous ⁦⁦@paula_mcintyre⁩ & the rather wonderful ⁦@AngelaHartnett⁩ for BBC Radio 4’s ‘TheFood Programme’ They were judging a category finalist. We couldn’t stop eating the delicious pyclets from #derbypycletparlour & laughing

Pyclets (or pikelets) are supposedly thinner than crumpets, but I'm pretty sure the terms were interchangeable in our house. So, is it pyclet or crumpet? VOOOOOOOOTE!
