Biggest risk is my crypto bags, when they finally pump I'll be set on money. Even if they don't, I'm only a few years away from living off my sports bets. Ik gambling is gambling but I've consistently profited for years, I'm very confident I can live off it with enough volume.

The end goal is a happy, healthy, family with no money concerns. Current goal is funding mom's retirement, bc her job is killing her.
I get there by having those things for myself, and then expanding it everyone else. I could sorta do it now, but it'd be unsustainable.

2) For me personally it was easier to adopt good habits when I realised they benefit the whole family unit not just me. An example is that a lot of smokers won’t quit if you tell them they’ll get cancer in 10 years 100%, but will quit if they have a kid with asthma

I feel like if you can’t withhold, can’t give negative reinforcement, and you can’t persuade with money, it’s at the point where professional help is needed.
Addiction is an affliction of the mind, being stuck doing something doesn’t mean the person won’t ever want to change.

For the friends I’m talking about, they’re adults who make their own decisions. At a certain point unwanted advice makes them see you as an asshole, so I stopped.
Sadly sometimes you have to accept the reality others choose for themselves. For my family I’d never stop trying.
