Elon Musk’s social network X has officially launched its messenger, XChat
It promises the following features:
– end-to-end encryption — even X itself won’t be able to see the content;
– built-in Grok — an AI assistant inside chats;
– screenshot and screen recording blocking, plus the ability to create secret chats with any user;
– disappearing messages — deleted after 5 minutes;
– no ads;
– audio and video calls without linking a phone number;
– sending documents, photos, videos, and files;
– group chats for up to 500 people;
– registration via an X account — no phone number required;
– deleting messages for all participants in a chat.
