Strengths
Has a great frame to build from for an interior OL
Does a great job staying on blocks and staying engaged to defenders at 1st level
Shows ability hold up in pass protection, and pass set effectively, slows down interior pass rushers well
Shows ability to create consistent movement off the LOS in the run game, especially at the Point of Attack
Shows ability to work combos and effectively climb to the second level
Shows great violence and strength at the point of attack, strikes with hands
High motor, does an excellent job finishing the play, doesn’t stop until whistle blown
Areas of Improvement
Hip stiffness does show up, the fluid your hips are and the more you can bend, the more powerful you will become
Consistently playing with low pad level, tendency to pop straight up out of stance at times
Tendency to push defenders away rather than lifting up, keep feet driving and remove separation from defender
Can be heavy footed at times, continue to become the best athlete you can be, lineman that can move well are always a recruitable commodity
Need to see More
Pass Protection in a true 1 on 1 setting
Ability to be an effective puller in the run game
Ability to get out in space and effectively block screens
Ability to redirect in pass set, showing off lateral quickness in pass protection
Ability to show position flexibility and versatility, ability to play exterior and interior OL
Mobility, footwork, and agility. Big men that can move well will always be highly recruited. Lean into these qualities when creating highlight tapes and selling your skills
Overall
Big frame that will be an effective interior OL at the next level. Impressed with his physicality and strength in the run game, as well as finish and ability to get to the second level. All areas to improve are coachable with development time ahead, continue to work on becoming the best athlete you can be. On current trajectory, should be getting D2/FCS interest after junior season with improvements and development shown over junior season. Sky is the limit with continued athletic development and polish.
