Human history rarely changes gradually. Most of the time, it begins with a single discovery.
Fire allowed humanity to step out of the darkness. The wheel changed distance. Electricity transformed civilization. The internet connected billions of people into a single network.
At first, each of these breakthroughs looked like nothing more than a tool. Only years later did people realize they had gained something much greater: a new way of existing.
That is why I find Ritual so fascinating.
Because sometimes it feels like we are not looking at just another technology. We are witnessing the birth of an entirely new layer of reality.
For most of human history, intelligence was tied to people. It lived in our minds, passed through books, and traveled across generations. But it always remained part of the human experience.
Today, for the first time, we have the opportunity to move intelligence beyond the boundaries of the human mind and give it its own environment to exist, interact, and evolve.
This is where things become truly interesting.
Ritual is building a world where agents are more than software. They become participants in processes. They make decisions, perform tasks, interact with one another, and return to their work hours, days, or even weeks later.

And if you think about it, this feels remarkably similar to the moment humanity first learned to control fire.
Back then, nobody could imagine factories, power grids, computers, or modern cities. People simply saw a small flame. Yet hidden within it was the future of civilization.

For now, agents look like an experiment. An interesting technology. A curious possibility.
But what if, ten or twenty years from now, we discover that systems like these became the foundation of a new digital era?
Then we may realize that we were not simply watching the evolution of artificial intelligence.
We were watching the emergence of a new force that transformed the relationship between humans and technology.
That is why Ritual carries such a strong frontier feeling.
